The UFC held a media conference call Tuesday for their upcoming UFC 161 card taking place Saturday, June 15, at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Light heavyweight headliners Dan Henderson and “Suga” Rashad Evans, along with heavyweight co-headliners Roy “Big Country” Nelson and Stipe Miocic participated in the call.

Tarec Saffiedine injured, Siyar Bahadurzada now faces Robbie Lawler at UFC on FOX 8

A new bout has been formed for the UFC on FOX 8 card as Robbie Lawler’s (10-9) opponent Tarec Saffiedine (14-3) has suffered an injury, which has forced him to withdraw from their scheduled matchup. Siyar Bahadurzada (21-5-1) has stepped in as a replacement and now faces Lawler at UFC on FOX 8, which takes place at the Key Arena in Seattle, Wash., on July 27.

Nogueira was able to defeat a young Werdum in 2006 at the PRIDE Critical Countdown Absolute event in Japan. Werdum will be fighting for the first time in almost a year, and will look to avenge the defeat while inching closer to an eventual UFC title shot.
