Dana White recaps UFC 227 (VIDEO)

UFC President Dana White shares his take on Demetrious Johnson losing the flyweight title to Henry Cejudo at UFC 227 and seems to agree with the judges’ decision. White said the co-main event played out as he expected with both guys going at each other hard from the opening bell. TJ Dillashaw retained the bantamweight title with his first TKO of Cody Garbrandt and White says Gardbrandt will now have to fight his way back into title contention. White also comments on the recently announced news of the upcoming UFC lightweight championship bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor.

Garbrandt says he is going to take everything away from TJ Dillashaw

We’re almost there. Saturday night at UFC 227 we will see bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw defend against the man he took the belt from in Cody Garbrandt. The two are embroiled in one of the nastiest feuds in the business right now especially since TJ knocked Cody out in their last outing. At UFC 227 they will try and settle the score. VIDEO: Garbrandt says he couldn’t withdraw from UFC 217 for financial reasons

At UFC 227 we will see one of the biggest blood feuds in MMA right now come to a head – again. Cody Garbrandt lost his bantamweight championship to TJ Dillashaw back at UFC 217 via KO in the second round and it didn’t diminish their hatred for one another at all. At UFC 227 this weekend he gets another shot at TJ and a shot at redemption by reclaiming the 135 pound title. During a media luncheon ahead of the event he talked about concerns surrounding UFC 217 and how money affected his decision making when it came to the event.
