ProMMAnow.com’s Dr. Rhadi Ferguson recently caught up with Bellator Chairman/CEO Bjorn Rebney to talk about three of Bellator’s most promising fighters following their victories at Bellator 72 in Tampa, Fla.

Rebney discussed Karl “Psycho” Amoussou‘s first round submission win over Bryan Baker in the welterweight tournament finals. With four straight victories under the Bellator banner Rebney feels it is all coming together for Amoussou. Next stop for “Psycho” is a title shot against Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren.

London’s Paul “Semtex” Daley made a huge splash in his Bellator debut by scoring a first round TKO win over Rudy Bears. Rebney called Daley a “made for television fighter” and says he will have one more non-tournament bout in Bellator before entering the promotion’s next welterweight tournament when they premiere on Spike TV in early 2013.

Last but not least, Rebney talks about Travis Wiuff following his unanimous decision win over Tim Carpenter in the light heavyweight tournament semifinals. Wiuff will now move on to face Attila Vegh in the finals for a shot at Bellator 205-pound champ Christian M’Pumbu. Rebney says Wiuff continues to improve despite his 80+ fights as a pro and reminds us he already holds a win over M’Pumbu in a non-title bout and is just one fight away from getting the rematch, except this time it would be for the gold.
