Street-Fighter turned MMA fighter, Kimbo Slice (real name: Kevin Ferguson) was arrested by Miami Beach cops in May 2002 on gun and open container charges. The weapons charge against Slice, who was 28 years old at the time (he’s 33 now), was dropped. He entered a no contest plea to the open container charge and was ordered to attend an alcohol education course. Kimbo Slice since that time has made what seems to be some real positive changes in his life. He says that Mixed Martial Arts has really helped him turn his life around. The Martial Arts can be a great positive lifestyle for anyone willing to devote the time and effort. Slice recently appeared on CBS primetime TV competing in a Mixed Martial Arts fight against James “The Colossus” Thompson in the Elite XC organization. Although the fight was controversial, Slice did come away with the win.
