UFC 225 takes place June 9th with one heck of a card on tap. Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker faces Yoel Romero for a second time and Rafael Dos Anjos squares off with Colby Covington in a grudge match-up in the main and co-main respectively. CM Punk fights for a second time and believe it or not, former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans is fighting in the prelims. Wow. Check out the first media scrum video for the event which features Joseph Benavidez and some of the other undercard competitors.
Rashad Evans is one of the most memorable fighters to step in to the Octagon. He won the second season of TUF and provided a scary highlight reel kick shortly thereafter that obliterated Sean Salmon and will be replayed in the best knockout videos forever. He was the light heavyweight champion for a minute until Lyoto Machida brutally knocked him out. His feud with Rampage may have ended in a lackluster fight but the build up will stay with us. Now, at the end of his career he almost seems sad and so are we. Check out what he had to say about preparing for it on The MMA Hour recently.
Of all the clubs in all of the places… Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans had a very real beef before settling it at UFC 114 in 2010. Rashad may have won the bout but Rampage hasn’t forgiven and this video looks real enough. Would you like to see a rematch?
