Former LSU fullback Shawn Jordan (13-4) was one of the Strikeforce heavyweights who made the the transition to the UFC last year. Since competing inside the Octagon, the 28-year-old Jordan has gone 1-1, knocking out Oli Thompson at UFC on FX 2, and most recently, dropping a decision to Cheick Kongo at UFC 149. Jordan will return to action on Saturday when he faces Chicago lawman Mike Russow on the UFC on FOX 6 preliminary card live on FX. It took Jessica "Evil" Eye (9-1) just :58 seconds to submit Bellator strawweight women's champ Zoila Frausto Gurgel (12-2) with a standing arm triangle choke at Bellator 83 back in December. Speaking with ProMMAnow.com (www.prommanow.com), Jessica explained what the win meant to her: "It was the greatest moment of my life. I feel like people finally gave me the respect that I deserve after I got that. And I think that people think that I didn't have a submission game, so it kind of shut them up.
