titan fc 40-anderson berinja

Anderson “Berinja” Dos Santos (14-3) is a 30-year-old submission wiz who is coming off a rear-naked choke finish of Ricky Simon at Titan FC 37 in March. The Chute Boxe Diego Lima product is now preparing to return to the Titan cage where he will face Andrew Whitney (13-4) at Titan FC 40 in the semifinals of the organization’s bantamweight grand prix on Aug. 5. If “Berinja” advances, he will face the winner of Bruce Lutchmedial vs. Edir Terry for the championship. The event will stream live on UFC Fight Pass. We caught up with Anderson before the fight.

WHY DID YOU START TRAINING MMA?

I was always a lover of boxing and martial arts when I had the opportunity I started training and I never stopped.

WHO DID YOU START TRAINING WITH?

I started training with my master Marcos Babuino.

YOU JUST FOUGHT FOR TITAN, COULD YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR LAST FIGHT IN TITAN?

My last fight was a war fought against Ricky Simon, a very tough opponent that made me give my best in the cage.

YOU ARE FIGHTING AUGUST 5 FOR TITAN, HOW IS IT FIGHTING FOR TITAN?

Fighting on Titan is a dream come true, being in America doing what I love is to realize a big dream that is just beginning. Certainly Titan is the door to get in the larger organizations and MMA world.

WHO ARE YOU FIGHTING, AND WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT HIM?

I do not know my opponent Andrew Whitney very well, but the more I train to fight, any opponent will do.

ANY SPONSORS OR PEOPLE YOU LIKE TO THANK?

I would very much like to thank my friends and business managers Patino Macaco and Wade Hampel for providing me the chance to realize that dream, and I want to thank Revolutus and all the partners who support me, and also my team Babuino Gold Team and Chute Boxe Diego Lima.
