The UFC on FOX Sports cards are looking mighty good on paper, and the second installment just got a lot better according to UFC officials. A lightweight bout between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos has been verbally agreed upon and will be the co-main event of the UFC on FOX Sports 1:2 card on August 28 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The former UFC light heavyweight champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been relatively quiet since parting ways with the UFC after his unanimous decision loss against Glover Teixeira in January. It was his third consecutive loss in the UFC, including losses to Ryan Bader and UFC champ Jon Jones. However, Jackson hinted at a possible fight in the near future via his Twitter account
According to Marshall Zelaznik, the promotion’s International Head of Business Development, the UFC has reached a broadcasting deal that will see a dedicated Spanish-language channel broadcast in Mexico. Although a launch date has yet to be revealed, the UFC’s major entry into the Mexican market is a move that has been in the works for years.
