UFC officials have announced that former middleweight contender Thales Leites will return to the UFC to take on Tom Watson at UFC 163.
The UFC 163 event will be headlined by the UFC featherweight title fight between the champ Jose Aldo as he takes on the challenger Anthony Pettis.
The event will take place on August 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the HSBC Arena.
Leites (20-4) is coming off a second round submission win over Matt Horwich in March 2012. The win avenged the only loss Leites has suffered since being released by the UFC (6-1) after his split decision loss to Alessio Sakara at UFC 101 in 2009.
Watson (16-5) is coming off a TKO win over Stanislav Nedkov at the UFC on FUEL TV event in February. It was a nice rebound win for Watson after dropping his UFC debut against Brad Tavares via split decision.
