Man, this footage was hard to find. After Chuck Liddell knocked out Kevin Randleman way back in 2001 at UFC 31 we saw a rare sight. The Iceman ran and literally jumped in to future bitter rival Tito Ortiz’s arms like a small child who finally got that bike they always wanted. Looking back this may be proof of what my editor Jack Bratcher and I keep saying. There are alternate universes out there. VIDEO: Flashback to Coaches Ortiz and Liddell exploding on TUF

Tonight we finally get that third fight between former UFC light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell originally promised to us back in June of 2010.  To get up for the rematch we go back to when the two legends were coaching opposing teams on a season of the UFC reality show ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and scheduled to get it on one last time at UFC 115. A withdrawal by Ortiz from the bout infuriated Liddell leading to Rich Franklin stepping in to replace him. Rich would knock out Chuck forcing him in to retirement and seemingly squashing any hopes of getting that third fight. Before they fulfill their promise under the Golden Boy banner tonight check out one of the moments that kept their feud alive.

VIDEO: UFC 51 post fight where Ortiz rekindled Liddell rivalry

Tito Ortiz dodged defending his light heavyweight championship from the true number one contender at the time in Chuck Liddell. He would lose it to Randy Couture at UFC 44 but that freed us up to finally get a showdown between the Iceman and Huntington Beach Bad Boy at UFC 47. Chuck knocked him out and we thought it was over. Wrong. This is Tito Ortiz, man. After UFC 51 during Ortiz’s post fight victory interview he damn near incited a riot when he called out and confronted first Ken Shamrock and then Chuck Liddell. Check it out to get hyped for tonight’s Liddell vs Ortiz 3.

Tito Ortiz tests his luck at weigh-ins face off

What in the actual hell, Tito? This man has knocked you out twice and you fondle him in public. At the weigh-ins for tonight’s trilogy closing Golden Boy hosted showdown Mr. Ortiz literally poked the bear when he poked his opponent Chuck Liddell. The look on Chuck’s face is priceless.
