UFC officials have announced a bout for the upcoming UFC Fight Night event that’s set for June 28 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Rani Yahya and Johnny Bedford will meet in a rematch of their bout from UFC Fight Night 39 last week. The original bout ended in a no contest after the referee called a stop to the bout just 39 seconds into the fight after an accidental clash of heads.
The UFC 159: Jones vs. Sonnen event slated for Saturday, April 27, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, has a new fight. UFC bantamweight Erik Perez has been forced to withdraw from his matchup against Johnny Bedford with a leg infection.
Three new bouts have been added to the “TUF 16 Finale” card as Rustam Khabilov faces Vinc Pichel, Reuben Duran takes on Hugo Viana, and Johnny Bedford squares off against Marcos Vinicius.
Today UFC officials confirmed that bantamweight fighter Roland Delorme (7-1) will be stepping in to fight Nick Denis (11-2) at UFC on Fox 3.
The UFC announced that former WEC champion Eddie Wineland had to pull out of his bout with Johnny Bedford due to an injury a few days ago. The UFC website is now reporting that UFC newcomer and Canadian bantamweight Mitch Gagnon will replace Wineland on the card and face Bedford on January 28th, in Chicago.
Injuries have caused changes to the UFC on FOX 2 card that will take place in Chicago. Paul Sass and Eddie Wineland have been removed from the event due to injuries.
TUF 14 standout Johnny Bedford will now fight Eddie Wineland at the UFC on FOX 2 event since Demetrious Johnson is moving to the newly created flyweight division.
