Dear WWE, my name is Sean McClure and I am the author of this article. You have completely lost your ability to connect with fans. You are a bag of tools that do not work anymore. Your product is abysmal and you know it. You refuse to build younger talent, refuse to acknowledge that we legitimately do not want who you want as champions. We watch every week in the hope that the next special event will see you recognizing that, but you don’t. You are idiots. You are oblivious. You are stupidity personified. Not only can you not give the fans what they want, you dissuade them from supporting you. We as fans believe that your product should be good enough to not have to worry that some amazingly creative fans might take away from your worship of greased hair and muscles, and not ready for prime time Roman Reigns. You are a disappointment and it makes me happy to know time will eventually clear out the stupidity surrounding one my heroes, not anymore, Vince McMahon. As a fan those guys would be welcome on the telecast. It is insanely effective PR for you and because you are too corporate and out of touch you actually forced them to…well read the story.
Want proof that the WWE are full of corporate morons? Check this story out…
So a group of intensely die hard fans in epic win costumes paying homage to their heroes showed at RAW on Monday. Because Kevin Dunn and the rest of the completely unappreciative, incompetent, archaic, glad handing yes men, out of touch, and ridiculously stupid WWE staff felt the costumes that these fans worked SO HARD on were according to a WWE rep, a “distraction”- they made them CHANGE****ING CLOTHES.
Here is the awesome photo and the Tweet that accompanied it.
@wwe We weren’t looking to hijack the show or steal the spotlight. Wrestling is supposed to be fun, right @CMPunk?
One of the group responded to a FOX Sports request for comment with this
“As a life-long fan of your product, I was very excited to attend your show last night (Des Moines 3/16/2015). I had secured 10 tickets in the front row at $100 a ticket. By my math that is $1,000 that we paid the WWE to attend your event. The seats were in the front row. Being a huge fan, I made sure to invite 9 other rabid fans and we all made the decision to pay tribute to our favorite wrestlers and dress like them. Within 10 minutes of the show starting, we were told that our outfits were “too distracting” and to change clothes, or we would be moved. I assure you none of the members of our party were being in any way unruly or belligerent. You can watch the taping and see for yourself. We were merely watching the show. Now, I have heard rumblings in the past of people being booted from their seats for costumes, but I always sided with the WWE and assumed that those fans HAD to have done something else to lose their seats, and WWE wouldn’t boot people for simply dressing up. Now I know that they indeed will do that, regardless of how respectful you are. This seems to contradict your “Be a Star” promotions (which ironically enough was running on the screen as we were being scolded by WWE producers) that seem to encourage fanaticism.
I guess at the end of the day, all I am looking for is an explanation as to why you would boot fans who spend the time, energy, and money on advocating your product. Seems like just the kind of people you would want in your corner.
For the record, I am still in your corner, however disappointed I may be.
Thanks for your time, Matt Sheridan
PS – Had we all been dressed as John Cena or Roman Reigns would the outcome have been different? Please advise so I can let the other 9 guys know for future shows.”
I am sickened by the ignorance of what was once a fond childhood memory.
Oh, WWE money munchers offered them free tickets to a future event. I would NEVER take that from these piece of garbage corporate commanders. Do not enable them.
That’s a shame!!!WWE will lose a lot of fans in future dates. Let start a new Wrestling Organization for all underdogs also.
