Team Alpha Male Radio’s Justin Buchholz says Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Antonio Rogerio ‘Little Nog’ Nogueira have reportedly verbally agreed to a rematch. They had a great bout back at Pride Critical Countdown on June 26, 2005. Shogun took a unanimous decision win home and we got to watch a real fight.

Three men, Shogun, and Little Nog, and his twin brother Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira are all coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4,” which is hilariously primarily filmed in Las Vegas. The season was originally supposed to feature Shogun and Anderson Silva as opposing coaches. When the UFC’s former middleweight champion now famously failed a PED test, The Nevada State Athletic Commission put a stop to it.

Brazil’s Tatame is reporting that the fight will take place at UFC 190 on August 1. The event will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Also rumored/confirmed to fight on the card is Ronda Rousey. She is finally going to get her hands on the outspoken Beth Correia who has defeated members of WWE style “Four Horsewomen” stable. Beth has repeatedly called Ronda out and claimed she was a weak fighter, bad person, and just flat out ugly to put it bluntly. A lot of fans just like me want to see that fight and believe Beth may take Rousey out of the first round and possibly in bad positions.

The event will probably end up being a very impressive money maker for the UFC and if this one isn’t sold out immediately it would shock me. Who takes these fights?

  1. Hopefully Lil Nog finally retires Shogun.
I’m tired of watching him making a fool of himself.
