Big inside leg kick from Barroso, making Oliveira chase him. Oliveira calls him to come on and fight. Body kick from Barroso; in and out. Big inside leg kick. Oliveira catches a leg kick, scores a takedown, lands some ground and pound but chooses to let Barroso up. Ties him up against the cage. Uppercut from Oliveira. They reset in the center. Barroso shoots, gets Oliveira to his knees against the cage. Oliveira back up, Barroso pressing him to the cage but gets turned around. Dirty boxing from both guys here. Oliveira with a body lock. Round 3 – Quick takedown from Barroso. Oliveira is right up and presses Barroso to the cage. Struggling in the clinch, Oliveira looking for the takedown. Dirty boxing. Barroso gets underhooks, turns him around. Scores a takedown and lands a knee to the face as Oliveira gets to his feet. Barroso presses him to the cage. Rani Yahya vs. Josh Clopton

Round 1 – Left right from Yahya. Front kick. Inside leg kick. Again. Yahya shoots for the single, ties Clopton up on the cage, pulls guard and goes for a leg lock. And my stream has frozen…  Yahya on top in half guard landing some ground and pound. Half the round down. Rights to the head. Right elbows and more punches. Yahya locks up the neck and moves to full mount. Clopton is able to get to butterfly guard. Yahya back in half guard. Now back to full mount and landing punches. He postures up with three lefts. Moves to side mount, half guard. Time. PMN has it 10-9 for Yahya.

Round 2 – Yahya comes out in Southpaw. Changes back to regular. Right left combo, Yahya shoots for the single and completes it against the cage. Yahya in half guard, holding one of Clopton’s hands behind his back, lands some punches. Clopton gets his arm free. Yahya moves to full mount, lands some punches. Clopton able to get half guard. 2:00 to go. Yahya back to full mount. His BJJ game is so superior. Yahya landing solid ground and pound here. He postures up with punches. Clopton almost gives up his back but is able to recover half guard. Clopton tries to sweep using the cage. No dice. PMN has it 10-9 Yahya.

Round 3 – Clopton’s corner tells him to turn it into a fight. Yahya shoots, stuffed. Yahya shoots, Clopton hits the switch and ends up on top of Yahya inside guard. Clopton eventually lets Yahya up. Eats a right. Leaps in with a knee, Yahya shoots, Clopton sprawls. Clopton on top but lets Yahya back up. Clopton eats a right. Yahya shoots for a single and gets Clopton down on his back. Takes top control in half guard, now in butterfly guard, moves to side mount before the bell. PMN has it 10-9 and 30-27 for Yahya.

Left hook from McCall, again and it stuns Santos. Left hook from Santos. Inside leg kick McCall. He’s bringing the fight. Santos shoots, stuffed, pulls guard. McCall on top in half guard. McCall with aggressive ground and pound. Scramble, lands a knee to the body as Santos gets to his feet and begins stalking. Overhand right, leg kick from McCall. Left right from Santos. Leg kick McCall. Again. Leg kick again. Left jab, head kick McCall. Santos misses a spinning backfist. One two from Santos. McCall needs to be careful with his hands low. This guy has power. Left hand from McCall. Santos lands two nice right hands. Santos calls McCall to come on and bang. Great fight. PMN has it 10-9 McCall. Santos has a LOT of experience and LOT of KO wins.

Round 2 – Santos looking ready. Leg kick McCall. Leg kick again. High, then low kick. Leg kick. Again. Left hook from Santos. Leg kick inside. Outside. Slips a combo. Slips a right. Leg kick. Again. Again. Santos shoots, stuffed. Head kick McCall. Inside leg kick. This looks like prime McCall. He shoots, stuffed. Leg kick inside. Again, and then goes high. Left right combo from McCall, out of the way as Santos fires back and hits only air. Inside leg kick from McCall. Big leg kick. Inside. Again. Nice body kick from Santos then a left right. Nice right and a knee from Santos as McCall starts brawling. Leg kick from McCall. Right hand. McCall shoots, stuffed, Santos puts McCall on his back with an outside trip. Neil Magny vs. Sergio Moraes

Round 1 – Right left from Magny. Leg kick Moraes. Right from Magny. Left from Moraes. Nice punch combo, followed by a leg kick from Magny. He ducks a right hook. Clinch, trip takedown from Moraes. On top in half guard. This is not where Magny wants to be. Impressive move to side mount. Somehow he levitates into full mount, goes for the triangle. Lands some elbows to the top of the head. Magny caught deep. They roll, Moraes on top and this is over as Magny taps out. The crowd goes nuts.

Sheila Gaff vs. Amanda Nunes

Round 1 – Left right from Nunes, she shoots, Gaff goes fore her back and gets it with one hook in briefly, back to the feet, Nunes pushes her to the cage. Drops for a single and puts Gaff down. Moves to side mount. Knees to the ribs from Nunes. Full mount. Lands a couple hammerfists but Gaff muscles her way to her feet. Nunes quickly puts her back down, drops some elbows from inside full guard. Big elbows from Nunes and this fight is over as Nunes wins her UFC debut in her home country of Brazil.

Vinny Magalhaes vs. Anthony Perosh

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Perosh puts Vinny down as he walks into a straight right hand. Perosh follows up with punches to the chin and Vinny goes out. Referee Mario Yamasaki stops it. Big ground and pound. Whoah! Was not expecting that. Biggest win of Perosh’s career. The commentators sound completely stunned. Damn. Did not see that one coming, and in Brazil no less.

John Lineker vs. Jose Maria Tome

Round 1 – Maria with a leg kick. Lineker stalking. Left right. Inside leg kick from Maria goes high. He’s okay. Maria shoots, stuffed. Inside leg kick, but gets dropped with an overhand right. Back up. Inside leg kick from Maria. Stuffs another Maria takedown attempt. Right from Lineker. Maria escapes the attack. Spinning backfist rocks Lineker. Overhand right from Maria and Lineker goes down. He goes for a guillotine but Lineker is safe. Big left hook from Maria. Body kick from Lineker but Maria catches it and puts him on his back. Maria on top but Lineker gets to his feet, has a bodylock from behind. Gets a trip takedown, lands a couple shots but Maria presses him to the cage. Knee to the nuggets from Maria and time out is called. I think he will take a point, maybe. Replay shows it went to the stomach. Clinch against the cage. Maria looking to drop levels, lands a knee. Lineker with an elbow. They separate to the center. Right counter from Lineker, Maria throws a kick and ends up on his back. PMN scores it 10-9 Maria.

Round 2 – Lineker hunting. Clinch, knee exchange. Maria shoots, stuffed. Lineker pushes him onto his back, scramble, and it’s back to the feet. Leg kick from Maria and he gets dropped with a right hand. Maria covers up and eats tremendous hammerfists and ground and pound until the ref stops it.

Thales Leites vs. Tom Watson

Round 1 – Leites lands a nice punch combo and pushes Watson to the cage, looking for and gets the clinch and takedown. He has Watson’s back with one hook in. Face down now. Watson rolls. Both hooks in. Leites looking for the Rear-Naked Choke. Leites landing some good punches from the back to the side of the head. Watson takes more punches from the back. These are hard shots. Watson escapes on hook and is fighting to get up. Gets to his knees with 90 seconds left. Flattens Watson out with both hooks in. Big punches from Leites but Watson escapes to his feet, lands a knee. Leg kick from Leites. Leg kick Watson. One two, leg kick from Watson. Leg kick. Again. Heavy. Nice left hook from Watson, leg kick. Head kick. Clinch. Overhand right from Watson. Nice comeback by Watson but not enough to win the round. PMN has it 10-9 for Leites. Watson cut over his left eye pretty good.

Round 2 – Nice left jab from Leites. Leg kick Watson. Left hook from Leites, backs Watson up, lands an uppercut. Watson fires back, gets tagged by jabs though. Watson with no head movement defense and gets put on his back with a takedown. Leites in side now full mount. Hammerfist and punches from Leites. Watson fights to his feet but immediately gets dragged back down. Gives up his back and Leites riding him with both hooks in. They roll to their back, Leites looking for the RNC again. Watson gets to his feet and Leites transitions to an armbar. Watson stacks him. Herb Dean right in there. Watson tells Herb he’s fine. Watson escapes and lets Leites up. Leg kick Watson. 90 seconds left. Thai plum knee and elbow from Watson, leg kick. Leg kick. Nice jab from Leites. Watson lands some knees from the plum. Leites pushes him to the cage. Watson eats a knee. He turns Leites around to the cage. Right from Watson as they separate. Uppercut. Trade jabs. Leites fading. Sloppy shot is stuffed. Elbow from Watson, big body shot. Close round. Could go either way I think. PMN scores it 10-9 for Watson. Leites’ corner tells him he won it.

Round 3 – Leites’ corner wants him to clinch in this round against the cage. Nice punches from both guys to start. Watson bleeding badly from his right eye now. Leites holding him against the cage. Watson turns him around, backs out. Leites shoots, pushes him to the cage. Knee from Leites. Brian Stann an ace on the mic tonight by the way. Leites looking for the takedown. Watson uses the fence to stop it. Uppercut from Leites. Leites with the takedown with just under 3 minutes to go. Full mount. Watson gets to his feet. Leites pulls him back down. Leites takes his back, both hooks in. Leites locks on an arm triangle. One minute to go. Leites tries to readjust, Watson fine but just laying there. Goes the distance. PMN sees it 10-9 and 29-28 for Leites.

Cezar Ferreira vs. Thiago Santos

Round 1 – Ferreira clips him with a big overhand left, staggers him, lands a head kick. Ferreira locks on a guillotine as Santos tries to shoot; Ferreira goes for it by jumping guard and Santos taps out and this fight is over folks.

Lyoto Machida vs. Phil Davis

Round 1 – Davis got not one cheer. Touch gloves. Machida’s right ankle is taped up. Body kick from Davis. Trade leg kicks. Leg kick Machida. Phil misses a Superman punch. Eats a left. High kick from Davis scores. Phil bounces off the cage. Leg kick Davis. Overhand right scores. Body kick from Machida. Left hand. Leg kick. Front kick. High kick blocked by Machida. He counters with a beautiful body kick, punch combo and flying knee. Davis gets a takedown, on top in half guard. Crowd boos. Phil looking for a kimura, no dice. He lands a few body shots. Don’t think that brought him back enough to win the round. PMN sees it 10-9 Machida.

Round 2 – Light leg kick from Phil. Body kick from Machida. Head kick from Machida. Looked low, went high. Davis shoots, stuffed. Nice left from Machida. Right from Davis. Leg kick Machida. Davis shoots, stuffed. Again. One minute to go. Big straight left from Machida to the chin. Best shot of the fight. Davis getting sloppy. Huge right from Machida, but Phil gets a body lock takedown with 10 seconds left. Davis tries to land a few knees and punches. But I have this round for Machida for sure. He landed a couple very hard shots. PMN sees it 10-9 Machida.

Round 3 – Leg kick Machida. Right hand to follow. Davis pressing and whiffing everything. Big body kick from Machida. Davis shoots, eats a left and is stuffed. Front kick Machida. Machida lands a nice knee as Davis shoots and now has a body lock from the back on Davis. Machida lets him go, kicks him in the back. Front kick Machida. Stuffs another takedown. Big left hand from Machida. He’s picking it up. Big knee from Machida and stuffs another takedown. His confidence is growing. 90 seconds left. Nice right from Machida. Another big knee from Machida, stuffs another takedown. Machida stalking now. Left from Machida. Davis shoots at the 10 second mark, stuffed again. PMN has it 10-9 and 30-27 for Machida.

Jose Aldo vs. Chan Sung Jung

Round 1 – Jung looks bigger. Big right from Aldo. Jab from Aldo to the chest. Leg kick Jung. Left from Aldo. Jung misses a head kick attempt. Big leg kick from Aldo. Left jab to the chest from Aldo. Both guys being patient. Left jab, big leg kick combo from Aldo. Big leg kick from Jung. Big right from Aldo. Jung fakes the takedown, comes over the top with a right that misses. Aldo with a takedown. Jung pops right up. 30 seconds left. Wheel kick from Aldo, flying knee attempt. Jung chases him down before the bell. PMN sees it 10-9 Aldo.

Round 2 – Left right from Jung. Nice right counter from Aldo as Zombie rushes in with punches. Left uppercut from Aldo. Great jab from Aldo. Only a couple leg kicks from Aldo so far. Nice left right combo from Aldo, uppercut and a front kick. Right left body, left to the head from Aldo, jab. Jab. Jab. Jung standing right in front of him trying to go strike for strike. Not a good idea probably. Nice right from Zombie. Jab from Aldo. Overhand right. Nice hard jab from Aldo buckles Jung’s knees. Overhand right from Jung gets Aldo’s attention. Body lock takedown from Aldo, lands in half guard. Moves to side mount. Jung gets full guard with 20 seconds left. PMN has it 10-9 Aldo.

Round 3 – Left from Jung, right from Jung. Flying knee from Jung, gets caught and thrown on his back. Jung trying to get up using his back on the cage. Aldo trying to keep him down. Jung with some shots to the ear and he gets to his feet. Aldo pressing him to the cage. He drops down for a takedown, and gets Jung down but Jung gets on his knees against the cage. 2 minutes to go. Ref separates them. Touch gloves. Big right left from Jung. Front kick. Aldo shoots in against the cage. Jung goes for a choke but loses it. Elbows from Jung to the head. Aldo doing nothing. Ref separates them. Flying knee from Zombie, Aldo ends up on his back even though it didn’t land. PMN sees it 10-9 for Aldo.

Round 4 – Aldo’s corner is telling him to quit going for these takedowns. Aldo looks a bit off tonight. He looks tentative in his striking to be honest. Where’s the leg kicks? No footwork from Aldo. Aldo looking sloppy right now. He’s actually looking a little tired. Zombie swinging big. He’s landed a couple very hard shots on Aldo and Aldo did not like it. Zombie’s shoulder looks to have come out. Aldo attacks with punches and kicks. Zombie goes down and is rolling in pain but it was due to his separated shoulder mostly. Not sure what caused the shoulder to come out… waiting for replay. The shoulder came out after throwing an overhand right. Aldo saw it and attacked ruthlessly. Wow. I’d like to see a rematch personally. I think Zombie might have been able to take him had that not happened.

  1. Why does the Aldo title fight show only 3 rounds? Are not title fights supposed to be 5 rounds?

  2. Kenny Florian took Aldo 5 rounds and even won a round. Are you not willing to give the Korean fighter the benefit of a doubt?
