The issue of marijuana usage aside, Matt Riddle is a household name in the MMA world. The UFC released Riddle from his contract after the fiasco with his drug test failures and the consequential fallout with UFC President Dana White.
That status did not last long though. Legacy Fighting Championships swept in and signed him to their roster. InsideMMA has confirmed this status has already changed again as Riddle has signed with Bellator MMA.
Riddle was supposed to fight in Legacy FC 21 this July but apparently Bellator wanted Riddle pretty bad. Whatever deal they offered Legacy did not seem to think it over for too long. This must seem pretty surreal for Riddle considering UFC was the only home he ever knew in his pro MMA career.
Bellator is mum on the deal or when Riddle will debut as a part of their official roster. The prize is all Riddle’s as someone sees some sort of star status in this fighter.

UPDATE: It has been announced Riddle will take part in Bellator’s Season 9 Welterweight Tournament.
