The UFC will be returning to Canada on June 15 and will be visiting Winnipeg in the Manitoba province for the first time according to a report from USA Today.

The PPV event will take place at the MTS Centre and will feature a light heavyweight rematch between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Antonio “Rogerio” Nogueira.

The two first fought in the now defunct PRIDE promotion in 2005 with Rua coming out the victor in an epic back and forth battle.

A light heavyweight bout between former UFC champion Rashad Evans and former Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson is also in the works pending medical clearance for Henderson who just fought at UFC 157.

Rua (21-7) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Alexander Gustafsson in December 2012. The former UFC light heavyweight champion is (2-3) dating back to 2011 when he lost his championship belt to the now current champion Jon Jones.

Nogueira (21-5) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rashad Evans (17-3-1) at UFC 156 in February. It was Nogueira’s first bout since defeating Tito Ortiz at UFC 140 in December 2011.

Dan Henderson (29-9) is coming off a close split decision loss against Lyoto Machida at UFC 157 in February. It was his first bout since his epic war with Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 139 in November 2011. Evans has dropped back-to-back fights for the first time in his career, including his title fight against former teammate Jon Jones at UFC 145 in April 2012.
