UFC featherweight Cub Swanson
UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, Cub Swanson, TJ Grant and Evan Dunham were all awarded an extra $65,000 at UFC 152 Saturday night in the form of fight performance bonuses. The event took place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario.

Jones earned “Submission of the Night”, Swanson earned “KO of the Night”, and Grant and Dunham took home “Fight of the Night” honors.

The news was announced at the UFC 152 post-fight press conference.

TJ Grant and Evan Dunham got things going on the preliminary portion of the event. Both fighters engaged in a slugfest with neither backing down from the other as the fight went on. Grant was awarded the unanimous decision win in a very exciting affair.

Cub Swanson got things going on the first live fight on the PPV main card. He was able to get past a early takedown from Charles Oliveira and land some nice punches. However, he was able to put the always tough Oliveira away from a overhand shot. It was his second consecutive “KO of the Night” bonus.

Jon Jones was able to survive a early armbar from Vitor Belfort to take the Brazilian out in the fourth round. Jones dismantled Belfort on the ground with short elbows and punches in the first three rounds before locking in the fight-ending Americana submission.

  1. Interesting that Belfort did so well.

Anderson should move up and try his steven segal kick on Jones.

    (Fat chance of that!)

  2. Anderson vs. Jones would be amazing… For some reason I don’t think that fight will ever happen. You never know though. Daniel Cormier vs. Jones would be good too. Jones at HW is gonna be fun! — What do you think about Anderson vs. Bonnar?
