UFC President Dana White talks with Fanhouse’s Ariel Helwani following UFC 117 Saturday night in Oakland, Calif. White shares his thoughts on the main event between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen, a fight that will surely be looked at as one of the most memorable in UFC history.

White is clearly happy with both Silva and Sonnen’s performances and reiterates the fact that Sonnen backed up all of the smack talk he spewed leading up to the fight.

White also gives a ton of respect to Roy Nelson and the durability he showed against Junior Dos Santos. He talks about Jon Fitch‘s win over Thiago Alves, the possibility of him fighting his teammate Josh Koscheck, and reveals that it is still not a hundred percent that Fitch will get the next title shot. He is right in the mix, but says Jake Shields and Martin Kampmann are also.

White also sings the praises of Matt Hughes and his submission win over Ricardo Almeida. White insists Hughes is still one of the best welterweights on the planet and makes it sound like a future title shot for him could be possible if he keeps winning.
