Here is this week’s full episode of HDNet‘s Inside MMA which we previewed for you on Thursday. This is the episode that has been gaining attention all week because of Tito Ortiz‘s bizarre comments about upcoming opponent Matt Hamill.
Ortiz says Hamill has been babied his whole life because he was deaf and also says being deaf makes him susceptible to being knocked out in a fight because “he has no equilibrium” and has “a soft head” and if you hit him with enough soft and small shots (Ortiz says he’s not looking for “big shots”) it will put him to sleep.
Where Ortiz got this information is any one’s guess, but apparently Ortiz has the inside scoop on deafness. Tito says small and soft shots hurt Hamill more because deaf people have no equilibrium and makes their head soft. Tito uses Rich Franklin as an example to prove his theory…. he says, “You look how Rich Franklin knocked him out quick.” …
Uh Tito, Franklin stopped Hamill with a body kick!!
Has Ortiz seen how much press Chael Sonnen got with all his pre-UFC 117 trash talk, bizarre statements and bad-mouthing of the afflicted (ex. Lance Armstrong and cancer)? Is he trying to do something like that, or does Ortiz really believe what he’s saying about Hamill?
Bellator featherweight champion Joe Soto and upcoming opponent Joe Warren are also guests. The outspoken Warren lets Soto know he intends to knock him out in their upcoming bout. UFC 117 is previewed and Chael Sonnen speaks with Ron Kruck.
What a douche bag thing to say Tito. First of all it makes no sense. He’s a moron trying to follow in Chael’s footsteps.
