The ND State Bison

Clearly the biggest story of the weekend was No. 1 Iowa’s victory over No. 3 Oklahoma State. The match happened last Saturday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in front of 10,967 fans. The two squads split the 10 matches, but in the end bonus points gave the Hawkeyes their 52nd straight dual meet win.

Iowa sophmore Montell Marion pulled of an improbably upset of No. 5 Jamal Parks at 141 to pace his team. Leading 3-0 entering the third period, Marion rode Parks out for the entire third period. The sophomore improves his record to 12-2 on the season. Other winners for Iowa include Matt McDonough, Brent Metcalf, Jay Borschel and Phillip Keddy.
