Putting a microphone in front of a Diaz brother is almost instant entertainment. Following Nate Diaz’s first round dismantling of Gray Maynard this past Saturday at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale, Jon Anik stepped in to fulfill his duties and get the lightweight’s thought on the win. Diaz didn’t really answer any of the questions but he did talk about his team, his spot in the lightweight division and his needing to leave.
The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale takes place this evening from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and features a grudge match between lightweights Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard in the main event. Also, TUF 18 contestants Julianna Pena and Jessica Rakoczy meet in the women’s bantamweight finals, and Chris Holdsworth and David Grant meet in the men’s finals.
Some call it a rubber match, some call it a rematch. Either way Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard will throw down for the third time this Saturday in Las Vegas at The Ultimate Fighter Finale. Diaz and Maynard met for the first time during the fifth season of The Ultimate Fighter. Diaz went on to win the season. Maynard got the better of him in their first official fight and now the trilogy (or rematch) will go down Saturday.
