The incredibly true fake legend of shootfight champion Bart Vale

I remember the name Bart Vale from back when MMA was in its infancy. He was the American shoot fighting champion that decimated Ken Shamrock and all comers overseas like a hurricane through a trailer park in the South. He came back from his big win and managed to land magazine covers, put out instructional … Read more

FAIL! Conor McGregor tries to knock off Floyd Mayweather’s cap

Conor McGregor was on fire during his World Press Tour with upcoming opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr. The two traveled from L.A. to Toronto to Brooklyn and London promoting their Aug. 26 pay-per-view fight as the UFC lightweight champ prepares to make his pro boxing debut. And if you’re thinking about putting some money on this fight we highly suggest sticking with only the safest and most trusted UFC betting sites before you do.

During the Brooklyn leg of the press tour McGregor came out shirtless wearing a mink coat and talking a big game. Then, playing up to the Brooklyn crowd, he pulled out Jay-Z’s new 4:44 album and gave it to Mayweather, telling him to listen to it to “learn how to build and maintain a real empire, not a fake empire”. Then McGregor tried knocking off Mayweather’s cap but failed to achieve liftoff. Fortunately, Mayweather kept his cool and is saving the fisticuffs for the ring, but things could have gone sour real quick. Check it out as Conor’s hat trick falls flat.

Jon Jones willing to forgive DC if he accepts he is the better fighter

MMA fighter gets choked out, wakes up and scores walk-off KO!

Anything can happen in the fight game, we’ve seen that. But this may be a first. Case in point was the co-main event at ACB 64 when Denis Mutsnek caught Nashkho Galaev in a guillotine choke in the first round. Galaev looks to go limp for a moment as the referee checks on him. Mutsnek seems to think the ref is stopping the fight and lets up for a moment long enough for his opponent to regain consciousness. Then in round two Galaev lands a perfectly timed knee as Mutsnek shoots in and knocks him out cold! Epic! (the KO comes at 9:15 mark)

Jon Jones takes stab at ‘cheating a**hole’ Daniel Cormier

Remember when UFC light heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier ignited “towel gate” by using an old wrestling trick to grab the towel and take some of the weight off the scales during his UFC 210 weigh-in against Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in April? Arch-rival Jon “Bones” Jones certainly hasn’t forgot and lambasted the champ on Twitter today with a picture mocking Cormier’s towel-grabbing tactics. Jones will have his chance to reclaim the title he never officially lost when he rematches Cormier on July 29 in the UFC 214 main event. But make no mistake, the fight is already well underway.
