X-1: Lights Out takes place Nov. 21 in Kona

X1 World Events returns to Kona to feature more of the Big Island’s best talent. The live event takes place 5:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Kekuaokalani Gym in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

The main event will feature a stand up match between kickboxing and MMA fighter Chris Cisneros of Hilo and Rumble on the Rock veteran Kaleo Padilla.

The co-main event will also be an action packed stand up match when former boxer Elward Westbrook takes on UFC and K1 veteran Wesley “Cabbage” Correira of Hilo. Those who have seen Cabbage say that he is ready to prove why he will always be at the top of Hawaii’s heavyweight division.

Hawaii’s X-1 World Events signs deal with FightZone TV – first event airs Oct. 19

Honolulu, HI (USA): X-1 World Events, Hawaii’s premier fight promotion, is pleased to announce a broadcast agreement with FightZone TV. The first event to be aired by FightZone TV will be X-1’s “CHAMPIONS” event.

Undefeated fighters Issac De Jesus and Brandon Visher to meet in “Up N Up” main event in Honolulu on Sept. 12

HONOLULU, HI August 25, 2009 – Undefeated rising mixed martial arts (MMA) star Issac De Jesus (11-0) from Stockton, California, will replace injured Eddie Yagin in the Up N Up Main Event bout with Hawaii’s top ranked and also undefeated champion Brandon Visher (15-0) from Kula, Maui at the Neil Blaisdell Center in Honolulu Hawaii on Saturday, September 12th.

The flawless record of Brandon Visher will truly be tested in this amazing match up with Strikeforce veteran Issac De Jesus. Both fighters have no blemishes on their record, this fight will ensure that someone’s “0” must go.

X1: A Year in Review

In their busiest year to date X1 World Events showed why they continue to be Hawaii’s number one event. They put all of their titles on the line and crowned some new and exciting world champions, brought back pro boxing, they also introduced new venue’s like The Cirque and Palolo Hongwanji as well as added new features to their events like a concert, replacing the chairs with tables at the Blaisdell and the amazing aerialists of The Cirque Hawaii entertaining the fans between matches.

To highlight the year we will start off with the “Champions” event at the Blaisdell Arena. Maui product Lolohea Mahe continued his dominance of the HW division with a huge win over Des Miner.

Featherweight Champion Eddie Yagin defended his title with a three wound war against Big Island’s Dirty Dave Moreno. Mia St. John made her appearance in Hawaii short and sweet with a brutal KO win at just 44 seconds of the first round and Ron Waterman defeated Maui boy Analu Brash for the HW Title.
