MMA veteran Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante took on MMA prospect Justin Gaethje at the World Series of Fighting 2 event in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Saturday night. There where many fans that had never heard of Gaethje prior to the fight, but after a very good performance and a nasty fight ending cut he induced on Cavalcante’s forehead, that will probably change from here on out.
World Series of Fighting held their second event Saturday night at the Revel in Atlantic City, N.J. The main event saw former UFC welterweight Anthony Johnson put on several pounds to take on former UFC champ Andrei Arlovski in a heavyweight headliner. The weigh-ins for World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 2 took place Friday at the Revel in Atlantic City, N.J., the same location hosting Saturday’s fight card headlined by a heavyweight match-up between Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski vs. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.
Arlovski weighed in at 245.5 pounds, while Johnson, a former UFC welterweight, tipped the scales at 230.3 pounds. Co-headliner Marlon Moraes weighed in at 135.5 pounds, while his opponent Tyson Nam weighed in at 135.2 pounds.
