We reported some details on Tuesday that UFC content moving to the FOX Sports 1 property would start airing on August 17 with a LIVE event.
However, FOX has released a few more details regarding UFC content on FOX Sports 1 via press release:
Featured on Wednesday nights; live FIGHT NIGHTS through 2014, the first is scheduled for launch night, Saturday, Aug. 17; FOX event preliminary cards; UFC Tonight, the weekly authority for UFC news and information; 14 Saturday pay-per-view preliminary cards; hundreds of hours of library programs and events.
Also, Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated spoke with UFC President Dana White and confirmed that the Fight Nights will air on various Wednesday nights through 2014 for a grand total of 12 LIVE Fight Night’s. So there will be no weekly or bi-weekly schedule regarding these Fight Night events.
So in stead of airing on FX, the UFC prelims and other shows like UFC Reloaded will air on FOX Sports 1 as well.
