As two of the fastest-growing industries around, online gambling and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) are a match made in heaven when it comes to betting. From calling the overall outcome of a bout to naming the method of victory, MMA betting can be an extremely rewarding pursuit for gamblers of all ilks.

This year is set to see some truly spectacular fighting take place across the MMA world and particularly in the sport’s blue riband competition, the UFC. There is a comeback for Irish phenomenon Conor McGregor as he takes on veteran Cowboy Cerrone, whilst later in the year, all eyes will be on the clash between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson for the lightweight title. Should you wish to bet on a fight, be sure to pick up a nice no deposit bonus first!

In this article, we will take a closer look at some of the top MMA fights to bet on in 2020, with an in-depth analysis of the best wagers to place and why. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at our first MMA fight…

Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone

On January 18, Irishman Conor McGregor returns to the octagon versus Cowboy Cerrone in need of a win to bolster his chances of blockbuster events in the near future. Although only his second fight since becoming ‘Champ-Champ’ in 2016, McGregor is favourite for this bout with odds of a knockout hovering around the 4/7 mark.

For those who fancy an upset, it might be worth placing a bet on a Cerrone win via knockout which is currently around 13/2 at most major bookmakers online. Whilst McGregor is undoubtedly favourite for this one, his lack of activity and question marks over his mentality means that Cowboy has a great chance of springing an upset.

Jon Jones vs. Dominick Reyes

Arguably the greatest fighter to ever grace the UFC, Jon Jones will take on Dominick Reyes as a heavy favourite on Sunday, February 9. At 2/9 for a victory, betting on Jones is unlikely to bring in any sizeable returns. It is worth noting however that tricky fighter Reyes is being given odds of around 7/2 to cause a huge upset next month. For those confident enough to choose a method of victory for Reyes, there are huge odds of 13/2 being offered for a KO/TKO finish.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson

Undoubtedly the most hotly anticipated bout of 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson’s clash for the UFC Lightweight title is all set to draw a huge pay per view crowd in April. Whilst Khabib’s unparalleled grappling makes him favourite, with odds at 9/4 for a points victory for the Russian fighter, even better odds are given for a Khabib victory via submission, with 13/5 currently being given. This could be a very interesting proposition indeed, especially considering Khabib’s previous victory against Conor McGregor came via this method. On the other hand, the hugely skilled Ferguson is being given odds of 9/2 for a points win, which for our money is a great bet due to the American’s excellent cardio.
