Muay Thai kickboxing champion Lina Lansberg (6-1) will face women’s MMA legend Cris Cyborg aka Cristiane Justino (16-1, 1 NC) this Saturday, Sept. 24, in the UFC Fight Night 95 main event from Brasilia, Brazil. The Swedish striker has finished four of her six wins via knockout, while Cyborg has knocked out 14 of the 16 women she’s beaten. Cyborg seems to be having trouble dropping to the 140-pound catchweight limit for this fight, and Lansberg is out for blood.
MMA oddsmakers have Cyborg an ungodly favorite at -1300, while the Thai boxer Lansberg is a huge underdog at +850. The weight cut for Cyborg could be a big factor, not to mention the pressure of headlining a UFC card in Brazil. And let’s not forget that beating the Brazilian bomber took in her kickboxing match a couple years ago against Jorina Baars. Anything is possible, and if you’re willing to risk a $100 on Lansberg, you’ll earn $850 in return if she wins.
Take a look at this preview and let us know if you think Cyborg will continue her reign of terror or will “Elbow Princess” shock the world?
