“We are pleased to bring another high caliber show to the Tropicana Resort that features high caliber fighters”, said Ring of Combat President Lou Neglia. “And fresh off of UFC 168 where ROC alumni Chris Weidman and Uriah Hall both had successful nights, ROC 47 will feature many talented fighters who are looking to join so many ROC alumni who now compete in the UFC,” he continued.

Ring of Combat 47 will feature 5 title bouts that were all held by fighters who are now competing and moving up the ranks in national and international promotions including the UFC!

Ariel Sepulveda (6-6) will bring his two-fight win streak against undefeated Keith Berish (3-0) for the vacant ROC middleweight title. Current UFC Middleweight Champion, Chris Weidman, once held the ROC Middleweight title.

Pat DeFranco (4-2), who is coming off a two fight win streak, will meet Chris Wade (5-1) for the ROC lightweight title that was once held by Al Laquinta who now competes for the UFC.

Fast rising Julio Arce (4-0) will meet New Jersey native James McLean (6-6) for the vacant ROC bantamweight title.

Chris Cope (6-3) will face off against Elijah Harshbarger (6-4) for the vacant ROC welterweight title. A title once held by Ryan LaFlare who is currently undefeated in the UFC!

ROC featherweight gold is up for grabs as Adam Kanteav (2-2) of New York takes on James Jenkins (6-1) of the famed Serra Longo team. The ROC featherweight title was once held by Edson Barboza, who is currently riding a three fight win streak in the UFC.

Fresh off the heels of what many media were calling the best Ring of Combat to date, ROC 46, this is one fight card you don’t want to miss! “This is a tremendous and highly talented card”, said Lou Neglia. “The titles that are on the line were once wrapped around the waist of current UFC fighters and are ready for the next line up of great ROC alumni fighters”, he continued.

Also on the card, Frankie Perez (7-0) vs Michael Santiago (10-8), Leodegario Muniz (2-0) vs Jose Villanueva (1-1-1), Gil Isabel (0-1) vs Jim Boudourakis (0-1), Samad Mobley (0-1) vs Alfred Jones (0-0), Stephen Regman (0-1) vs Jonathan Hughes (0-1), Oluwale Bamgbose (1-0) vs Mike Elshamy (0-0), Gregor Gillespie (0-0) vs Kenny Gaudreau (2-0), Eddie Lenoci (2-0) vs TBD and Merab Dvalishvili (0-0) vs Darren Mima (2-1).

Ring of Combat continues its proud tradition of finding unknown but talented fighters. “We continue to scout the local area and all over the U.S. for the best but still unknown fighters and bring them to the Ring of Combat to help develop them for the bigger stages,” said Lou Neglia. “Tickets are running short so get them today and check out tomorrows MMA stars today,” he continued.
