After being released by Bellator earlier this year and not landing a deal with UFC, Ben Askren announced moments ago that he has signed with ONE FC. According to Askren he has signed on for two years and six fights with promotion.
Askren tells Ariel Helwani that after his meeting with UFC officials he felt as if he was going to hang up the gloves. Initially he had thought they would come to terms but later in the evening he found out they were not interested. After talking to WSOF and ONE FC he felt like ONE FC would be a comfortable transition.
Askren expects to make his ONE FC debut earlier next year.
