There are no reported bouts set for the event at this time. This will be the fourth UFC show in Toronto with UFC 129, UFC 140, and UFC 152 taking place there in the past.

UFC 129 set a North American attendance record with 55,724 fans and a live gate of over $12 million dollars which took place at the Rogers Centre.

UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre has defended his title on Canadian soil in four consecutive bouts. He last fought at UFC 158 in Montreal’s Bell Centre, dominating Nick Diaz en route to a unanimous decision win. He is expected to face number one contender Johny Hendricks later this year, and the timing of UFC 165 in September would have to make it a prime opportunity for that fight to happen as the main event.

However, UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones has also defended his title in Canada on two separate occasions. He last fought at UFC 159 last month and the timing of UFC 165 would be appropriate for him to return to action as well.
