UFC veteran Chael Sonnen is usually one to talk a lot leading up to fights. However, he is usually very humble in defeat and Saturday night was no different after his UFC 159 first round TKO loss to Jon Jones:
He [Jon Jones] is the best fighter I’ve ever fought. I whipped Jon for zero seconds and he whipped me the entire fight.
That’s high praise from a guy that has fought Anderson Silva twice. He also said that Jon Jones was better than Anderson Silva, not that he wanted to disparage Silva, but that’s simply how he felt about the comparison between the two fighters.
