Darren Elkins

A new bout has been added to the UFC 154 card as Steven Siler (21-9) faces Darren Elkins (14-2) in a featherweight match-up. The event is set to take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on Nov. 17.

The new bout was announced by Steven Siler via his Twitter page.

UFC 154 will feature a headline bout between current welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit. The main card will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on FX and Facebook.

Steven Siler is currently riding a three fight winning streak, most recently defeating Joey Gambino via first round submission at UFC on FX 4 in June. Prior to that he back-to-back unanimous decision victories over Josh Clopton and Cole Miller. His last defeat was against Cole Escovedo at “Showdown Fights: New Blood” in January 2011, where he dropped a first round submission loss. Siler will no doubt look to extend his winning streak to four with a big performance against Elkins.

Meanwhile, Darren Elkins is also on a three fight winning streak, most recently defeating Diego Brandao via unanimous decision at UFC 146 in May. Prior to that he scored a unanimous decision victory over Zhang Tiequan at UFC 136 in October 2011, and picked up a win over Michihiro Omigawa at UFC 131 in June 2011. Elkins will no doubt look to take a step up the featherweight ladder by defeating Siler.
