February 15, LAS VEGAS – Today, Respect Your Universe, Inc. (RYU), http://www.ryu.com/, is pleased to announcethat UFC Bantamweight Fighter TJ Dillashaw will be representing RYU at the upcoming UFC on Fuel TV 1 Sanchez vs. Ellenberger on February 15th in Omaha, Nebraska, when he takes on Walel Watson as a Main Card fight.  Dillashaw, who has a win-loss-draw record of 5-1-0, has been signed by RYU to a one fight deal and will be wearing various items from RYU’s debut premium performance apparel Men’s Line being released this month.

“We are thrilled to have Dillashaw represent RYU at the UFC on Fuel TV 1 against Watson around the same time we are releasing our new Men’s Line,” commented RYU Brand Ambassador, Rocky Bice.  “Made to fit the training and competition needs of fighters like Dillashaw, he encompasses what RYU’s core values of respect, strength, honor and sustainability are all about.”

Dillashaw turned pro in 2010 and has two wins by submission and one by TKO.  For his upcoming fight against Watson, Dillashaw has been practicing and sparring with Team Alpha Male including kickboxing sessions with Master Thonglor and doing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the evenings Dustin Akbari.  In addition to this, Dillashaw spends other training time wrestling and doing strength and conditioning at Results along with engaging in training with Mark Munoz at his gym Reign in Southern California.  To round-off his training regimen, Dillashaw also does Muay Thai at Kings MMA.

Dillashaw’s upcoming Main Card fight against Watson will be apart the first event to be broadcasted on Fuel TV as part of a seven year agreement between the UFC and the network.

Dillashaw began training for MMA and working towards fighting for the UFC two years after he graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.  Dillashaw made this decision because he wanted to further pursue competing after his collegiate career of wrestling where he was a three-time NCAA Division I Championship qualifier and ranked as high as 10th in the wrestling rankings.
