Heavyweight kickboxing legend Badr Hari (78-11, 64 KO’s) went out the way legends are supposed to go out, in spectacular fashion, Friday night in the main event at It’s Showtime 55 at the WTC Expo in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. Hari’s plan is to start boxing professionally, but first he put the final touches on a remarkable kickboxing career with this first round technical knockout of Gokhan Saki (75-14, 53 KO’s). At only 27-years-old, Hari still has plenty of time to make a name for himself in the pro boxing world and people are already dreaming about potential match-ups against the likes of the Klitschko brothers. For those wondering why doesn’t Hari go into MMA, well he tried his hand at MMA once, losing a quick 22 second submission to a very basic forearm choke, yes a forearm choke, to Latvia’s Edmunds Kirsis (5-6) back in 2002 (and you can watch that VHS quality video here).

As a special bonus, check out this Gokhan Saki training video — which makes Hari’s win even that much more impressive.
