During Wednesday’s Afternoon Press Box, Darren and the boys were joined by Strikeforce lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez. Melendez discussed the significance of rankings, talked about his win over Shinya Aoki, and shared his thoughts on teammate Nick Diaz‘s upcoming fight against Georges St-Pierre.

Melendez also revealed a rather surprising possible “dream match-up” for himself, gave his thoughts on changing weight classes and talked about some of the things he likes to do outside the cage.

In addition to talking with Melendez, the guys previewed this weekend’s UFC 131 card, while taking an-depth look at the main event, as well as the Dave Herman vs. Jon Olav Einemo fight. APB co-host Ed Clay was Herman’s coach at Nashville MMA for a couple years and discussed “Pee Wee’s” natural talent and why, in the end, Herman was asked to leave the camp.
