UFC lightweights John Makdessi (8-0) and Kyle Watson (13-6-1) will likely square off at UFC 129 on Apr. 30 in Toronto.

MMAJunkie first reported the possible match-up and ProMMAnow.com has since confirmed that the bout is in the works.

Makdessi made his promotional debut at UFC 124 on Dec. 11 in Montreal, electrifying the crowd with his striking skills en route to a decisive win on the scorecards over Pat Audinwood. He trains with the likes of current UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre, who will defend his title at the same event against top contender Jake Shields.

Watson also came out victorious in his first Octagon appearance. A cast member on The Ultimate Fighter 12, Watson reached the semi-finals of the competition before losing to eventual winner Jonathan Brookins. However, Watson scored a decision win over Sako Chivitchyan at the TUF 12 Finale on Dec. 4.
