UFC President Dana White introduces viewers to one of the UFC’s newest acquisitions, heavyweight PRIDE veteran Gilbert Yvel (36-13-1). Yvel is getting thrown into the deep end of the talent pool right away, as he will be fighting top-ten-ranked Junior dos Santos this weekend at UFC 108. If Yvel can defeat dos Santos, White says he will be right there in the mix among the UFC’s top heavyweight contenders.

Let this sink in for just a moment. Gilbert Yvel has 36 wins on his record. 31 of those wins came by knockout. 5 came from submission. None of his wins went past the second round, and only four of his wins even made it to the second round.

White goes to watch Yvel train at John Lewis‘s gym in Las Vegas and takes us along for the ride. White also introduces viewers to Lewis, and even shows Lewis’s entire UFC 22 fight against Lowell Anderson. Why? Because he can dammit.

Lewis has a rich history within the sport of MMA. Aside from being White and the Fertitta brothers’ former BJJ instructor, he used to be involved with the World Fighting Alliance, which Zuffa purchased, he has an entertainment company, and he is also a singer.
