The UFC handed out “Fight Night” bonuses to Tyson Griffin, Rafael dos Anjos, Rob Kimmons, and Aaron Simpson at tonight’s “UFC Fight Night 18: Condit vs. Kampmann”, at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Each fighter earned $30,000 for their performances, matching the “Fight Night” bonuses from the most recent UFC Fight Night back in February.

Although the main event of Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann proved to be worthy of “Fight of the Night” honors, it was Tyson Griffin and Rafael dos Anjos that brought the crowd to their feet repeatedly during their Lightweight bout.

Tyson Griffin showed why he is a five time “Fight Night” bonus winner pressuring the very game dos Anjos the entire fight. Rafael nearly finished Griffin by securing a leg and applying a “leg compression” on Griffin. Griffin weathered the storm and both fighters stood toe-to-toe during the full 3 round battle, with Griffin earning the unanimous decision victory, and netting both fighters “Fight of the Night” honors.

“The Rosedale Reaper” Rob Kimmons fell back on his patented guillotine to “literally” choke out his opponent Joe Vedepo. Kimmons locked in a standing guillotine that put Vedepo to sleep, earning him $30K and “Submission of the Night” honors.

With only one TKO during the entire card, it was an easy choice to give “Knockout of the Night” to Arizona Combat Sports fighter Aaron Simpson. It took Simpson just over a minute and a half to dispatch of the very tough veteran Tim McKenzie via TKO.
