Despite recent rumors reported at various internet MMA sites, former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will NOT be fighting former pro football player Marcus Jones at XFC 8: Regional Conflict on April 25th. Lashley is not fighting on the card in Knoxville, Tennessee at all.

Pro MMA Radio host, Larry Pepe contacted PRO MMA (promma.info) with the news today after confirming with Lashley that he will definitely NOT be fighting on that card.  An article written by Pepe today states, the Lashley team is currently weighing all of his options, XFC 8 not being one of them.

Bobby Lashley most recently fought and won by unanimous decision over Jason Guida at March Badness, a hybrid boxing/MMA event in Pensacola, Florida promoted by Roy Jones Jr’s Square Ring Promotions.

Lashley made his MMA debut with a TKO victory in December of 2008 and is undefeated with a 2-0 record .
Marcus Jones played defensive end for six years as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer. Jones made his MMA debut in October of 2007 and has a 4-2 record with 3 wins by (T)KO.

Once again, multiple sites (many being reputable) have reported a rumor as fact, without doing the proper research, which seems to be a growing trend and prevalent problem as of late.
