Sportfight is back with their 25th show and their first card of 2009 with SportFight XXV: Wildcard, on April 3rd at the Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde, Oregon. The card will feature two title fights in addition to 9 more fights to round out the 11 fight card.

Josh “The Machine” Queen (12-0 amateur, 2-0 professional), Idaho, will be battling DJ “Da Protégé” Linderman (11-0-1 amateur, 3-0 professional) in a 5-round bout for the Heavyweight title.

The second title fight will be at 185 pounds and will feature Portland’s very own Tyson Jefferies (8-3 amateur, 2-0 professional), as he goes toe-to-toe with the very versatile jiu jitsu practitioner, Mario Meiranda (2-0 amateur, 6-0 professional).

SportFight was founded in 2003 by Matt Lindland and Randy Couture, and is the premier mixed martial arts promotion in the Northwest and has given exposure to many up and coming fighters and future stars of MMA.

Fighters such as Brian Stann, Dennis Hallman, Dave Jansen, Pat Healy, Benji Radich, Sokoudjou, Chael Sonnen, Ed Herman, and Chris Leben have been featured in previous events, and SportFight has produced a number of fighters for multiple major MMA organizations to include the UFC, Pride FC, K-1, the International Fight League, BodogFIGHT and Elite XC.

PRO MMA (promma.info) will be on hand on April 3rd to cover all of the bouts from SportFight XXV Wildcard.
