Kelvin is a father and former collegiate baseball player with a degree in physical education from UNC-Pembroke. He's an avid MMA fan that has been writing about the sport since 2008 through various outlets. His favorite fighter is Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira due to the heart he has displayed throughout his legendary MMA career. North Carolina fighter D'Juan Owens (7-4) is starting make some strides in the MMA world coming off a big win at XFC 22 in February against previously undefeated Nate Landwehr. Owens enters the biggest test of his young career as he's set to take on Shooto and WEC veteran Alexandre Franca Nogueira (14-6-2) on May 19 for the Inka Fighting Championship featherweight title. The UFC on FUEL TV 10 full card

We've talked about the upcoming UFC events in May, but there's another event that will be taking place in almost exactly month out from today on June 8 in Brazil. The UFC on FUEL TV 10 card is finalized with 12 fights, and will be headlined by the heavyweight bout between TUF 2 Brazil coaches Fabricio Werdum and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. The UFC on FX 8 event that's set for May 18 in Santa Catarina, Brazil, has a new co-main event due to the injury bug. UFC middleweight Constantinos Philippou (12-2, 1NC) has suffered a cut during his training camp that will prevent him from fighting Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza. Chael Sonnen spurns retirement talk, sets sights on Wanderlei Silva at light heavyweight

UFC light heavyweight Chael Sonnen has no plans to retire after his UFC 159 dismantling at the hands of Jon Jones according to his appearance on FUEL TV's "UFC Tonight". Sonnen mentioned that he has plans to stay to light heavyweight simply because he has fought pretty much everyone in that division, including his two fights in which he lost to the champion Anderson Silva.
