jorgegurgelThe television landscape just broadened once again as news being reported by MMAFighting.com and other outlets say that the Kansas City based promotion Titan FC has singed an agreement to be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. A debut on the network may be set for February 28th with a main event pitting two UFC veterans against each other. The Ultimate Fighter veterans Jorge Gurgel and Mike Ricci are set to meet in Kansas City.

It seems that Titan is now under new management as Jeff Aronson has bought a majority stake in the company from Joe Kelly. Kelly will still act as president and have a minority stake in the company.  It is reported that there will be a Zuffa clause for fighters inside the promotion. One thing it appears is that Titan FC is not looking to compete with the UFC.

It has been hard to follow Titan since their inception. The were previously broadcast on HDNet/AXS TV . They were formed in 2006 and in 2012 they were purchased by Resurrection Fighting Alliance. Joe Kelly bought the promotion back and held two events in 2013.

Titan has signed two Brazilian prospects to the roster. Featherweight Gleristone Santos and flyweight Pedro Nobre have both inked deals and expect to debut later this year.
