We reported that the UFC will be returning to Sweden for the second time a few days ago with a main event featuring top light heavyweight’s Alexander Gustafsson and Strikeforce import Gegard Mousasi.
UFC officials have announced another fight for the UFC on FUEL TV 9 card when featherweights Akira Corassani and Robbie Peralta lock horns inside the octagon on April 6.
Corassani (10-3, 1NC) is coming off a split decision win over Angle Ogle in his last outing in September 2012. The bout was scheduled for UFC 156, but then moved to the UFC on FUEL TV 9 event in Sweden where Corassani was born.
Peralta (16-3, 1NC) is coming off a KO win over Jason Young in his last outing which also took place in September 2012. Peralta is (2-0, 1NC) since making his debut in September 2011.
The UFC on FUEL TV 9 event will return to the Ericsson Globe Arena which hosted the UFC’s first event in Sweden that took place in April 2012. That event has over 15,000 fans in attendance for a LIVE gate of over 2.2 million dollars.
