antonio carvalhoTwo new bouts have been added to the UFC 158 card as Antonio Carvalho (15-5) takes on Darren Elkins (15-2) in a featherweight matchup, and Mitch Gagnon (9-2) faces Issei Tamura (7-3) in a bantamweight bout. The event takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, on March. 16.

UFC officials announced the two fights earlier today.

UFC 158 will feature a headline bout between current UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and title challenger Nick Diaz. The main card will air LIVE on PPV with the prelims expected to air on FX and Facebook.

Carvalho is currently riding a two fight winning streak, most recently defeating Rodrigo Damm via split decision at UFC 154 in November 2012. Prior to that he scored a first round KO win over Daniel Pineda at UFC 149 in July 2012, bouncing back from a unanimous decision loss against Felipe Arantes at UFC 142 in January. Antonio has the chance to extend his winning streak to three with a victory over Elkins.

Meanwhile, Darren Elkins has been victorious in his last four fights, most recently defeating Steven Siler via unanimous decision at UFC 154 in November 2012. Prior to that he scored a unanimous decision win over Diego Brandao at UFC 146 in May 2012, and picked up decision victories over Michihiro Omigawa and Zhang Tiequan during 2011. Elkins will no doubt look to put another notch in the win column on March. 16.

Mitch Gagnon last fought at UFC 152 in September 2012, where he scored a first round submission victory over Walel Watson. That win followed a third round submission loss to Bryan Caraway at UFC 149 in July 2012. Gagnon can now look at starting his first winning streak in the UFC with a good performance against Tamura.

Issei Tamura was last in action at UFC on FUEL TV 4 in July 2012, where he dropped a second round TKO loss against Raphael Assunção. Prior to that he defeated Zhang Tiequan via second round KO at UFC 144 in February 2012. Tamura now has the chance to bounce back from his last fight with a big win over Gagnon.
