Feb. 2012 Fort Lauderdale, FL – The first professional Mixed Martial Arts event of 2012 in the State of Florida takes place on Friday, February 17th as Howard Davis Jr.’s Fight Time Promotions kicks-off its “Fight Season” in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Fight Time 8 “It’s Fight Time” promises to give MMA fans an exciting night of professional cage fights featuring the top local, regional and national fighters.  The packed fight card will include the company’s first ever female bout.   And, what a way to start off the new year at the War Memorial Auditorium with what promises to be the most exciting fight of the night when Jessica “Jag” Aguilar (12-4) takes on “Little” Patricia Vidonic (6-1) in the female flyweight division.

“We’re so excited to be back this year and we’re blessed to have two amazing female warriors on our show,” said Howard Davis Jr., CEO of Fight Time Promotions & 1976 Boxing Olympic Gold Medalist. “This fight card has turned out to be our best one yet and we’re ready to bring MMA back for another year to the South Florida fans, who come out to support the fights at our venue.”

Aguilar is currently the #8-ranked pound-for-pound female MMA fighter in the world byMMARising.com and the #2-ranked female flyweight

according to the Unified Women’s MMA Rankings.     “I’m back and it’s great to be fighting on Fight Time Promotions,” said Aguilar.

Aguilar trains out of American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida and is known for her tenacity in the cage.  Vidonic, who hails out of Montana, is a mother and wife, who has found time to be a MMA fighter and is also known for giving it her all during combat.

The night of live cage fights will also feature lots of well-known fighters including Mike Bruno, Rafael Dias and WEC veteran Rafael Rebello.   The card will feature South Florida fighters from American Top Team, Evolution MMA, Twin Dragons as well as nationally-based fighters from Montana and Texas.

“Our goal is to bring the fans an amazing night of fights that they won’t forget and give them a reason to come back to another one of our shows,” said Davis Jr.

Fight Time 8 takes place on Friday February 17th, 2012 at the historic War Memorial Auditorium, 800 NE 8 St., Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Doors Open at 7pm. First Fight begins at 8pm.
