It has been reported that IFL veteran Mike Ciesnolevicz, as a replacement for Justin McCully, will step in against Neil Grove for UFC 95 in London. An undisclosed injury has forced McCully off the card. Although Ciesnolevicz normally competes at light heavyweight, this fight will remain in the heavyweight division. The bout will be both fighters’ UFC debut.

The Miletich Fighting System’s product carried an undefeated record into the IFL in June of 2006. During his time in the promotion he went 5-3 with one ‘no contest’. Since the IFL closed their doors Ciesnolevicz has gone 3-0 bringing his career record to 16-3 (1 NC). Most recently he submitted Derek Mehman via guillotine choke at Adrenaline MMA’s second card.

In April of 2008, there was an IFL New Jersey bout between Carmelo Marrero and Mike Ciesnolevicz that was ruled a no contest when the two accidentally head-butted each other and Marrero suffered a nasty gash on the top of his head that began bleeding profusely. Here is a photo of the gash that looks more like he got hit in the head with an axe:
