First off, I want to apologize for not being here for the past couple of weeks; I have no excuses, I just had some evaluating to do. I took a short notice fight a lil over a week ago, and unfortunately I got caught in an armbar and lost in the 2nd round.
Professional women’s mixed martial arts fighter “Little” Patricia Vidonic returns with her weekly blog and nutrition and training diary. Take a look at how Patricia spent the past week in the gym coming off her fight with the No. 1 ranked strawweight in the world at Bellator.
I love my job tremendously; however, the politics/cliques are pathetic and make me feel embarrassed to be apart of this sport sometimes.
Well everything has been super busy the last couple weeks with school, training, etc… Now that the storm has calmed, I am actively looking for a fight. I would love to be apart of an October fight card to represent Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is a cause near and dear to me.
This week went by very quick. Ryan Ferguson aka Ferg (9-6), my teammate won his fight on Saturday night vs. Jordan Hernandez (8-4) out of Worland, Wyo. by RNC at 2:52 in the 2nd round. It was a great fight, definitely main event material.
The next morning after we had left Great Falls and posted that we were in another town, I get some tactless message from this chick talking smack that, well first off that she cannot back up… Funny, how she was at the fights, and didn’t have a thing to say to me until we were long gone out of town.
July was so busy, I do have to say, I’m glad it’s over. A lot was accomplished and many lessons learned, so a month not lived in vain. I fought July 14th, competed in the Big Sky State Games July 21st, then, Ferg fought in Kalispell, July 27th. Thank goodness for ice baths!
July is a super busy month… We got home about midnight on Sunday/Monday morning, I took an ice bath during the day Monday, then hit the gym that night to help Ferg finish getting ready for his big fight Title fight on the 27th. He will be facing Duran Flaget for the Fight Force 135lb Title, on July 27th in Kalispell, Mont., at the Majestic Valley Arena!
This has been an eventful week. First and foremost, I won my fight Saturday night vs. Sally Krumdiack at CageSport XX via unanimous decision. It was an amazing battle, she is an honorable competitor. I have been working hard and glad it paid off, especially against a veteran of the game.
