First off, I want to apologize for not being here for the past couple of weeks; I have no excuses, I just had some evaluating to do. I took a short notice fight a little over a week ago, and unfortunately I got caught in an armbar and lost in the 2nd round.
It was a rough weekend, besides the tornado the night of weigh ins, it would have been my mom’s birthday that night. It happens to the best of us, as long as I know what to do to prevent that from ever happening again.
This is something I read on a friend’s page; this is truly how I feel about life ~ I will fight to follow my passion, while living in the moment, with a positive attitude, and give 110% in everything that I do. And I will always ALWAYS strive to do what I feel is right, even if I am the only one who knows what I did.
This is my promise to myself. And these are my weapons in my battle for self virtue. I can only hope that my actions will mean something to you when it matters most.
I am truly grateful to have the supportive and loving fans that I have, thank you all so much for your kind and loving words! I was also doing an auction on Facebook, where 100% of the proceeds went to a local woman here in Billings who is battling her second bout of cancer. I am happy to say that there was a final bid of $750!!
Thanks Michael for all of your support!! I would also like to add that Michael is a True Hero; he is a 100% disabled Vet. He put himself on the line to keep us safe, then is willing to help others with what he received for his loss.
Thanks to one of my sponsors Paul for the $50 donation as well as John and Trudy for your $20, and Danielle for your $10 gift!! Thank you Oscar for making the survival bracelets for the potluck, I think those brought in a good deal as well! It all adds up and is very helpful!! So I think we were able to get almost $1000 raised for her!
Well, the school year is over and I am officially the mom of a high school student!! Mark also forgot to give me this award he received at graduation (the weekend we were gone). He received the highest academic award you can get!! The President’s Award for Educational Excellence!! #SuperProudMoM
And yes, I can believe that he forgot to tell us, he is 14!! lol Either way, kudos to him; he got 90% or higher on everything throughout his middle school career!! So I had to ask him, “Is it hard to get the grades you get?” he stated “No”. #Nice
We are hoping to be confirming a fight for my teammate here toward the end of this month down in UT. Keep your fingers crossed!! So we have just been training as usual…
The Strawberry Festival was two Saturday’s ago, and it was delicious!! Lot’s of food, people and strawberry shortcake!
We got a new (to us) Suburban!! It is awesome; 1985 Chevy Suburban 4×4…Need I say more? We went to Coulson Park, it’s right on the Yellowstone River, and it’s only a few minutes from my house! All three of us and the dogs enjoyed the day!
I will have my food and workout logs on my next blog, so please stay tuned!!! And don’t worry, I haven’t strayed from my diet either; just the occasional treat (paleo treat)! For the most part eat the same things for both breakfast and dinner; lunch varies, depending on whats going on that day.
I am very grateful to have my amazing husband/coach in my corner; thanks for everything you do. A big thanks to my training partner and good friend “Ferg” aka Ryan Ferguson for being such a great friend and putting in the hours at the gym with me!!!
I want to shout out to my gym Alternative Athletics Crossfit and 4th Ave. Dojo, this is truly the best place on Earth!!
I want to say thanks to all of my fans, family, and friends for all of your continued love and support! Thanks to Jack and Denny with ProMMAnow.com, as well as my sponsors ~ Training Mask ~ Nutrabio.com ~ Damage Control Mouthguards ~ GetSome Xtreme Gear ~ Solo Graphics ~ Dawgs 4ever 4ever Dawgs
