Alvarez says lightweight title pretty much means nothing

Former lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez told The MMA Hour that current champ Khabib Nurmagomedov may not have a legit claim to the belt. Conor McGregor was stripped, Tony Ferguson was injured, Max Holloway was pulled, and Khabib ended up with Al Iaquinta as an opponent. Weidman tells MMA Hour he’s going to come back and dominate; Fedor, Lee, and Alvarez open up

The MMA Hour was FULL yesterday. Kevin Lee, Fedor Emelianenko, Chris Weidman, and Eddie Alvarez were on the program. An item of note was Chris Weidman’s prediction that he would dominate the middleweight division on his return. He was finished by Luke Rockhold and lost the middleweight title, then finished by Yoel Romero, and to top off a three fight skid he was finished by Gegard Mousasi. UFC broadcasts not exciting enough according to Mike Goldberg

Here we go. Reign supreme. It is all over. Tale of the tape. You get the drift here. Ever since he was released from the UFC with zero fanfare Mike Goldberg has been missed. His catch phrases were iconic, cliche but iconic and his voice was unmistakeable. Rashad Evans gets deep about the end of his career on the MMA Hour

Rashad Evans is one of the most memorable fighters to step in to the Octagon. He won the second season of TUF and provided a scary highlight reel kick shortly thereafter that obliterated Sean Salmon and will be replayed in the best knockout videos forever. He was the light heavyweight champion for a minute until Lyoto Machida brutally knocked him out. His feud with Rampage may have ended in a lackluster fight but the build up will stay with us. Cris Cyborg says she ‘beats’ Ronda Rousey with win over Holm at UFC 219

One of the fights we never got that haunts us is Ronda Rousey in her prime vs women’s division wrecking machine Cris Cyborg. Cris is getting the next best thing to Rousey in the woman that ended the “Rowdy” champion’s reign. She faces Holly Holm in a bout that was rumored to be signed then not signed, until finally the signatures were confirmed. UFC 219 takes place December 30th in Las Vegas. Cris signed a new 4 fight contract with the UFC and she discusses a lot more in this video.
