Irish superstar Conor McGregor broke into the top 10 of the UFC’s official Featherweight rankings with his first round pulverization of Diego Brandao at UFC Fight Night 46 over the weekend. Despite not having yet beaten a top 10 fighter inside the UFC, McGregor’s wins over Marcus Brimage (TKO), Max Holloway (UD), and now Brandao (TKO), were enough for the “MMA media” to give him the bump from number 12 to number 10.
With McGregor’s two moves up, he passes up Jeremy Stephens, who was previously ranked number 10, and Dennis Bermudez, who was previously ranked number 11.
